Land use

Crops (and rotation): 2/3 part of fields have monoculture of corn meanwhile 1/3 part crops are associated: corn+beans+zuquini.

Crop calendar & tillage practices: Tillage with tractor in December (to expose disease animal LARVE at the cold to kill them and indirectly, they create rough rugosity which is reducing runoff. Sowing after first rain in June. Weeding and mineral fertilisation (150-150-00) by hand. Corn mounding one month later after seeding and some times a second fertilisation. One or two pesticide applications according to the animal attacks and one possible herbicide (in monocrop). Harvest manually normally end of November-December.

Chemicals (fertilizer, pesticides) applied: once mineral NPK after first rainfall, sometimes a second one during corn mounding. One or two pesticide applications, according to the animal attacks. One possible herbicide (in monocrop) application.

Stocking density of animals: Free grazing: of +/- 30 cows.
