Local partners

The Ministry of Environment, Wildlife and Tourism through the Department of Crop Production and Forestry is the National Focal Point for the CCD, and have thus been involved in all the efforts indicated above. The Kalahari Conservation Society (KCS) (one of the leading NGOs in the country) is involved in conservation projects in the study area. Both these institutions have expressed support for DESIRE.
