One time measurements and mapping

  • Topographic maps will provide data for slope steepness, length and shape (concave or convex) for following use on soil erosion model.
  • Soil mapping will be done in the base of dominant properties like texture as well as density, compactness, soil structure and organic matter content.
  • Mapping of topography and depressions in irrigation fields will provide information on the vulnerability to surface runoff and depression storage.
  • Collection of the input data for the runoff/erosion model (on soil parameters, soil surface, land use drainage direction)
  • Experiments to determine unsaturated soil hydraulic parameters on undisturbed and disturbed soil samples.
