The dissemination strategy for this study site identifies a number of different target audiences to whom information and results from the project can be addressed. The contents of messages, the format in which they are delivered and their expected impact vary from one audience to another.

 

1. Local stakeholders

 

Location Rural communities of the Potrerillos-El Calabozo water-shed of Cointzio study site.
Message Presentation of DESIRE actions in Cointzio watershed and results of our works.
Product format Powerpoint-discussion.
Method of dissemination Workshop. 
Expected impact Developing the interest for DESIRE and the products.

 

 

2. Local Stakeholders

 

Location Rural communities of the Potrerillos-El Calabozo water-shed of the Cointzio study site.
Message Advances in the Mezcal program and SLM recomendations.
Product format Powerpoint-discussion-field visits.
Method of dissemination Workshop and field trips.
Expected impact Land users agree to be involved in the Mezcal production and land use rehabilitation with Agave and trees.

 

 

3. Local authorities

 

Location Morelia, Michoacan state, Mexico.
Message Presentation of DESIRE actions in Cointzio watershed and results of our works.
Product format Powerpoint.
Method of dissemination During the different meetings of the Cuitzeo watershed commitee.
Expected impact Information, awareness, knowledge… 

 

 

4. Public in general + university students

 

Location Mexico and Morelia, Michoacán state, Mexico.
Message Issues of agriculture and sustainability in South America. 
Product format Presentation of the film “En mode mineur”.
Method of dissemination Participation of five Mexican colleagues in an open discussion forum.
Expected impact Information, awareness of the difficulties to be farmer in South America, and our economic and environmental implications.

 

 

5. Public in general + university students

 

Location Grenoble, France and Montpellier, France.
Message Issues of agriculture and sustainability  in South America.
Product format Presentation of the film “En mode mineur”.
Method of dissemination Participation of five Mexican colleagues in an open discussion forum.
Expected impact Information, awareness of the difficulties to be farmer in South America, and our economic and environmental implications. 

 

 

6. Scientists, politics and administrations of Cointzio basin

 

Location Cointzio watershed Michoacan state, Mexico.
Message Presentation of the result of DESIRE program in Mexico.
Product format Symposium in May 2012 with oral presentations, posters, abstracts, discussions… 
Method of dissemination Book at the end of the symposium with results and conclusions.
Expected impact Knowledge of DESIRE results.
Integration of the DESIRE results into local policies.
