Wildlife conservation areas

Because the study site borders the Central Kalahari Game Reserve to the west and the Makgadikgadi Pan Game Reserve and the Ntwetwe Wildlife Management area to the north, it is naturally endowed with a diverse variety of wildlife. The area also lies on what has historically been a wildlife migration route to the northern wetlands of the Okavango and Chobe.
